I've been here a few times. Their dishes are very authentic, although they can be a bit pricey. The hk style stir fry soy sauce noodle is very good. The stew pork belly with yam is our favourite of all time. Today, I tried one of their special dishes of the day, roast pork rice with tofu. Love it so delicious with tender roast pork. My friend tried the satay beef noodle, which was also very nice.
I ordered their special Pan fried pork with rice. This came as pork slices, broccoli, bacon and gravy with rice. Very tasty. However, pork knuckles dish was quite bland. The set includes toast omelette and a drink, milk tea is nice. Overall good value. Place was busy and noisy.
This is clean and comfortable dining area with friendly service. The food potion is big and the price is reasonable. Highly recommended their Baked beef tongue rice and HK milk tea.
No frills place. Got the Lunch set menu, Satay beef with instant noodles, coffee, ham/egg and toast for $15.50. Pork cutlets also yum too. Great value, combination and all super tasty. Appreciated the friendly staff too, I'll be coming back.
This place is walking distance from home and I have only visited twice. Probably would visit again as they are not bad. The restaurant is a very typical HK style cafe. Nice wallpaper. Dining area more spacious than others. The service was good. No chit chat straight to the point which is understandable as they are generally pretty busy. The food might not be the best I had but they were definitely above average. The prices were very reasonable too. I ordered the stir fried beef and vegetables in oyster sauce on flat rice noodles and XO shrimp fried rice. Both were decent in serving portions. The fried rice had the wok hei I expected. The noodles were soft and flavoursome with generous portions of beef cooked just right - tender, juicy and not overcooked. I recommend you check it out when you're in the Doncaster area.
